White House

Currently abandoned, the White House was formerly used as a hospital, hotel, and day-care center. Now, it houses the spirit of a woman in white, whom witnesses believe to be the woman who owned the day-care. In 1988, the building was damaged by fire, and it is now deserted.

Irwin Army Community Hospital

The fire alarm at the Irwin Army Community Hospital has been known to go off on its own with no provocation. The alarm became such a hassle that the fire marshal and department disconnected the wires, as they became tired of going to reset the alarms.

Caritas Southwood Hospital

Caritas Southwood Hospital, which was formerly called Pondville State Hospital, closed to the public in 2003, but kept its cancer center open.  There have been numerous sightings of patients roaming the halls, including an elderly man on an elevator and a little girl down the hallway. Other activity includes disembodied footsteps, cold spots, and fuzzy white orbs. Currently, the hospital is heavily patrolled by police officers.

The Old Worcester State Hospital

The old Worcester State Hospital has blood stains on its walls, and is boarded up to prevent entry. From the outside, the sounds of screaming can be heard, believed to be coming from the spirits of the patients who died at the hospital. Today, Worcester State Hospital is heavily patrolled by the police. You need permission in order to access the building.

Linda Vista Community Hospital

The Linda Vista Community Hospital opened in 1904, and it featured its own miniature “farm” of cows, chickens, and a garden in order to provide the patients with fresh butter, milk, eggs, poultry, fruits, and vegetables. The original building was designed by Charles Whittlesy and opened under the name Santa Fe Coast Lines Hospital. It was razed and rebuilt in 1924, and, in 1937, was renamed the Linda Vista Community Hospital.

Coe Medical Center

Coe Medical Center in Cody, Wyoming is haunted by the spirits of two nuns who have been seen floating down the halls. Weird noises have been reported coming from the center as well.

The Old Hospital in Americus, Georgia

The old hospital in Americus, Georgia has been known to have strange lights flashing as well as objects being thrown around. It is believed that the hospital is haunted by the patients who died within its walls.

The Old Hospital in Alamogordo, New Mexico

The sounds of moaning and crying can be heard coming from the old hospital at night. Over the years, many people suffered and died here. Now, cold spots, shadows by the windows, and odd noises occur on a regular basis.

Birmingham Army Hospital

The Birmingham Army Hospital was probably used during the Civil War. The building is now a high school. A cemetery is located behind it.

Poliklinik Cheras

Poliklinik Cheras was a government hospital in its heyday, but it got abandoned without any reasoning. It is haunted by the ghost of a dead patient. The hospital has since been torn down, but the ghostly patient still haunts the grounds in this Malaysian haunt.

Black Death Hospital

The Black Death Hospital in Roscrea, Ireland is reputed as being one of the most haunted hospitals in the world. It was used as a children’s hospital for those suffering from the “black death”, or the bubonic plague. Several years ago, construction workers were digging around sewer pipes when they were surprised to find the bones of nearly fifty children. Locals refuse to visit the hospital at night, claiming that the ghosts of the children will lure you to your death to join them.

Spring Lawn Farm

The Spring Lawn Farm, nicknamed “the Albino Farm”, has been surrounding of legends and lore for several years. Multiple versions of the story have been told around Springfield, Missouri so much that it is hard to separate fact from fiction. However, they generally all follow one of three general ideas.
