The U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York is said to be haunted by a number of different ghosts. The Superindent’s House is believed to be haunted by a former maid named Molly, who’s spirit goes room to room to mess up freshly made beds.
Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Missouri is known for being extremely haunted. The apparition of a little boy has been seen coming out at night to salute the helicopter on the academy’s grounds, only to disappear. A different little boy once hung himself in the scholastic building’s lower level as a way to escape being beaten and hazed. The bell tower, which had large amounts of activity, closed down for reconstruction.
At night, when it is past school hours, ghosts of those who have died on campus wander around, looking for victims to scare and/or attempt to kill to bring them to their side. Luckily, no one has ever been killed by one of the spirits of the Thornton Academy. Not much is known about the haunting of the school.
On October 13th, 1907 at 1:30 AM, a group of naval officers claimed that Lt. James Sutton went insane and shot himself in front of the other officers. The very same day, Sutton’s ghost began to appear to his mother and sister, who lived in Portland, Oregon, and did not know of his death yet.
