Old San Benito High School

The San Benito High School is currently abandoned, and it is haunted by the spirit of a little girl who wanders through the school’s halls. The sounds of screaming and crying have been heard as well. During World War II, the school was converted into a hospital for the injured.

Roosevelt School

Though it was recently shut down, the Roosevelt School’s stage remains to be haunted by the spirit of a girl name Penny. Penny was a play cast member that hung herself during the performance due to a pregnancy. The surrounding buildings are also haunted.

Wabaunsee High School

Wabaunsee High School in Alma, Kansas is haunted by the spirits of past teachers and students who died during graduation. Most of the paranormal occurrences take place on the third floor, and they have been experienced by teachers and students alike.

Ellis High School

The Ellis High School is haunted by unknown spirits of either students or teachers. Activity includes lockers slamming by themselves, the toilets in the girls’ bathroom flushes by itself, and odd chills.

Old Dodge City High School

The old Dodge City High School was built sometime during the 1800s. While it is known that the school is haunted by ghosts, the reason for the haunting has been tainted by legends and lies, making it difficult to uncover the history of the paranormal at the school. There are several different spirits that reside at the Dodge City High School, not all of them friendly.

Mission Bottom

Mission Bottom, an old Native American school, was built along the outskirts of Wetumka, Oklahoma. Around 12:00 AM every night, a mysterious light navigates the top floor; the light could not be humanly produced, as the second floor was demolished several years ago.

Excelsior Springs Middle School

A boy named Donny died of carbon monoxide poisoning at the Excelsior Springs Middle School, where he was also buried. It is said that if you walk into the school’s gym at 2:30 (unknown whether it is AM or PM), you will see an apparition of Donny playing his guitar.

Bowling Green State University

The Chi Omega Sorority House in Bowling Green State University is believed to be haunted by a pledge from the 1940s or 1950s that was killed by the train on the railroad tracks. Not much is known about this haunting.

Old Schoolhouse in Fincastle, Ohio

The old schoolhouse in Fincastle, Ohio is located off Interstate RT.62. The school closed in the 1960s, and it is now in poor condition. The second floor has collapsed into the first. Lights can be seen coming from the second floor windows and rooms, even despite no one is up there. Years ago, locals would trespass into the school with flashlights and watch as groups of ghost children walked single file through the halls. The spirit of a man with a lantern has been seen walking through the school, followed by a little girl screaming in the background, “No, Daddy, no! Please stop!”.

Indian Reservation Elementary School

The Indian Reservation Elementary School burned down a few years ago, killing a small group of teachers and children. Now, objects can be seen moving by the remains of the school. Laughing children can be heard as if they are still playing. In the gym, which remained intact from the fire, the sound of a bouncing basketball can be heard, although the area has remained locked. The coach’s office light stays on all the time for unknown reason, and it has never burned out.

Decatur High School

Both students and teachers alike have reported white moving apparitions, unexplainable sounds, and footsteps in the halls of the Decatur High School. The building was built in 1950, and there are no known deaths in its history. It is unknown why the school is haunted.

Thornton Academy

At night, when it is past school hours, ghosts of those who have died on campus wander around, looking for victims to scare and/or attempt to kill to bring them to their side. Luckily, no one has ever been killed by one of the spirits of the Thornton Academy. Not much is known about the haunting of the school.
