Established over two centuries ago, the Wilson Cemetery has been known to have the apparitions of floating figures and the disembodied voices of the dead. Most of the individuals buried at the cemetery have the surname Wilson, hence the graveyard’s name. Rumor has it that visiting the burial grounds brings bad luck.
Joe’s Older Than Dirt Place (also known as Joe’s Place) is a bar that opened in 1937. Due to its long operation time, the bar has had several regulars come to it. Since the 1980s, the bar has put up plaques on the central pole dedicated to the regulars who have since passed away. There have been reports of strange noises, moving chairs, and unexplained voices at night when the workers are closing the place. White apparitions have passed in front of people at night and in the early morning hours.
Later River City Lighting was owned by two men, one of which killed the other in the showroom. However, the accused killer was never found to be guilty. The business’ manager from 1979 to 1981 would often visit the showroom when he was alone. Footsteps could be heard both there and the warehouse. Those who visit have heard the murdered man at various times.
The Smokey Hill 7-11 located in Aurora, Colorado was built atop the site of an old Native American Reservation. Most of its activity takes place between midnight and 3:00 AM for unknown reasons. Items have been seen flying off the shelves as if they have been thrown, even when no one is in the store (security cameras have filmed this happening).
