The Saint James Church has an odd fog that surrounds it at night. Inside, there is a mysterious light that appears when no one is inside. Adjacent to the church is a small cemetery; those who drive by temporarily have scrambled radio and cell phone signals. During World War I, a German janitor was locked up in the First Baptist Church’s basement, and then the building was set ablaze, as many Americans were against any Germans in the United States because of the war. Eventually, the church was rebuilt, the original basement left intact.

There have been several strange occurrences at the Harvey Browny Church that occur nightly. At around 5:00 PM, a presence can be felt in the largest chapel. From 7:00 PM to 9:30 Pm, the sound of footsteps, scuffing feet, and knocking on doors can be heard. It is said that the old church used to have a furnace in the middle of it during the 1800s. One night, one of the church’s servers slept in side the building, and the entire church burned down. The fire was so intense that the body of the boy was practically incinerated, and it was never found. A tombstone was placed in the cemetery in honor of the boy.

Other people have claimed to see ghostly people praying in the mosque at 3:00 AM, which is especially odd considering prayer time was at 5:00 AM. One man rushed to join the group, only to have them vanish before his eyes.
The Methodist Church in Crown City, Ohio had its first paranormal occurence during the summer of 1953. Multiple people witnessed a house materialize on the lawn adjacent to the church. The single-story ghost house has had a ten-foot bush in front of it in some accounts. Whenever witnesses approach it, the structure disappears. Oddly, there has never been a house on this location.
The Kadesh Methodist Church has had its share of paranormal activity for more than seventy years. The oddest of its happenings is music emanating from the organ even when no one is near it. There have been sightings of an organ player’s apparition, however. The first paranormal activity at the church was recorded on a November morning after World War II.
The Convent of St. Thomas is haunted by an unidentified nun who has had several reported sightings by several sisters living in the convent. It is said that the nun kneels at the altar rail in front of the tabernacle.
