Dorothy Thomas School of Dance

Topeka, Kansas

BUILT: 1942
OPERATION TIME: 1942 to present

The Dorothy Thomas School of Dance has been operated out of the basement of a house since 1942. In 1988, Dorothy Thomas passed away, and the paranormal activity has been going on since. At around 3 AM every morning, the sound of 150 people tap dancing can be heard coming from the studio.

An old dilapidated piano has been known to play tunes such as Sweet Georgia Brown and Tea for Two on its own at night. Additionally, music boxes and stereos seemingly have a mind of their own and turn themselves on. Footsteps and whispering have also been heard.
